Q: You’ve started blending studio and outdoor footage. Any tips for filmmakers?
Ben: I like to use color and sound carefully to match scenes. I also sometimes use black-and-white frames to transition, they help bridge the gap between studio and outdoor shots seamlessly.

Q: You love analog film, but your latest project was digital. How did that change your approach?
Ben: I really liked it actually in terms of the amount of footage I was able to get with it. Then, I make it shine in post but combining a Red with a Bolex camera gives me the best of both worlds.

Q: Thunder shows up a lot in your recent work, why?
Ben: Hahah, yeah it's been a bit of an obsession. I use thunder like an editing flash, both visually and in sound, to break up the edit.

Q: Who’s inspiring you lately?
Ben: Thibaut Grevet. His style stays consistent, even when jobs and agency/brand teams get bigger. That kind of creative integrity is rare, and powerful.
